Finally I am producing for me. Starting again is incredibly exciting and in so many ways more exciting than its ever been.
Label boss Jay Parry certainly knows his way around the studio, with well over a decade of releases under his belt his focus has turned purely towards liquid drum and bass and urban influenced electronica.
Although relatively new to drum and bass, Jay has received notible success elsewhere with various projects in the Progressive House / Trance scene. His music has featured on Radio 1, Sirius FM and Ministry of Sound plus he’s been supported and remixed by the biggest names in that scene.
He celebrates clocking up over half a million views on Youtube and his music has entertained over 20,000 screaming fans at the o2 in London. Not only has his music been released on countless compliations he has licensed it for film.
With a successful radio show and podcast licensed to ID&T and Ministry of Sound, streamed to around 30,000 a month and syndicated to various FM stations all over the world, Jay know’s what it takes to create a hit.
Leaving that all behind Jay explains the reason for the new venture…
”For as long as I’ve been listening to dance music I have been listening to, enjoying / experiementing with jungle influenced sounds. I have always found a harmonious intrigue for the complexities of drum and bass which until now I have not been able to completely concentrate on.
I am in love with the Liquid sound, fusing soulful melodies into hypnotic bass lines. For years I have been toying with making the transition Its been like an uncrontrolable itch which I have not been able to scratch.
However after spending 15 or so years honing my abilities I’ve now realised it was all for this moment. I am in such a good place with my music. No longer am I producing for others, trying to acheive a sound to fit into a specific box. Finally I am producing for me. Starting again is incredibly exciting and in so many ways more exciting than its ever been.”
